Wisdom teeth are a common concern for many people and, although the after effects of extraction can be uncomfortable for a while, it is usually the only way to permanently relieve your symptoms.
Problems are usually caused when there is not enough space in your mouth for wisdom teeth to grow, causing overcrowding. They may also grow through at an angle and push against existing teeth which can cause discomfort or pain.
By taking a simple x-ray, we will be able to see the best course of action to take and if removal is necessary. We are often able to do this under local anaesthetic. We will also give you advice about how to look after your mouth after the treatment, including the use of painkillers and mouthwash solutions.
