Root canal

Root canal treatment is naturally something people worry about but it’s a treatment that has a high success rate in preventing tooth loss.

The purpose is to stop the spread of infection when blood or nerve supply to a tooth is damaged. Under local anaesthetic the infected root is cleaned deeply and temporarily filled while the infection passes. When the infection is cleared, the tooth is plugged with a permanent filling and is just as strong as any other tooth.

Although it is a significant treatment, it is worth the effort. Successful root canal treatment may require several visits to Bridge House to ensure all infection is removed, but it is worth the effort as saving your tooth is always the best outcome.
