Invisalign Process
A high-tech solution that gradually moves your teeth to where they should be.

A pathway to straighter teeth
The process starts with 3D computer imaging, carried out right here at Bridge House Dental Practice. This imaging technology lets us plan precisely the gradual movement that your teeth will take in increments. We map a pathway from your teeth’s current position to the place you want them to be at the end of the treatment.
Regular changes in alignment
Every patient’s situation is unique to them, but most people swap their aligners for a new set every week or two. Each set is made slightly differently in order to gently move the teeth to the new position. You fit your new aligners at home, with appointments every few weeks so that we can monitor progress throughout the realignment journey.
Custom-made aligners
The 3D imaging software is also used to design and build your individual aligners, which is done at a specialist Invisalign laboratory. When you come in for your aligner fitting, we will show you how to put them in and take them out. Because they are custom-made, most patients find that they are quickly able to fit and remove them.
Easy to live with
Your aligners are made to fit your gum line, so they are usually more comfortable to wear than traditional braces. There may however be some slight discomfort when you fit each new aligner, but that’s an indication that they are working effectively. Pretty soon, you’ll get used to wearing the aligners and you’ll start to see results within a few months.
