INVISALIGN®

INVISALIGN® OVERVIEW

Now there’s a process for straightening teeth that is less visible and more convenient than traditional braces.

A NEW WAY TO ADDRESS MISALIGNMENT

Whenever someone suffers from misalignment of their teeth, including an underbite, overbite or crossbite, it is usually advisable to undergo some form of corrective treatment.

Traditionally, that has involved braces, brackets and wires that can be uncomfortable and very noticeable, but now there is an alternative.

THE INVISALIGN® DIFFERENCE

With Invisalign®, you wear almost invisible aligners that can be removed for eating and brushing.

The aligners are custom-made for your teeth following 3D computer imaging.

Over several months you move through a series of aligners, each one slightly different to gently move your teeth into the new position.

FAQs

The process starts with 3D computer imaging, carried out right here at Bridge House Dental Practice.

This imaging technology lets us plan precisely the gradual movement that your teeth will take in increments.

We map a pathway from your teeth’s current position to the place you want them to be at the end of the treatment.

Every patient’s situation is unique to them, but most people swap their aligners for a new set every week or two.

Each set is made slightly differently in order to gently move the teeth to the new position.

You fit your new aligners at home, with appointments every few weeks so that we can monitor progress throughout the realignment journey.

The 3D imaging software is also used to design and build your individual aligners, which is done at a specialist Invisalign® laboratory.

When you come in for your aligner fitting, we will show you how to put them in and take them out.

Because they are custom-made, most patients find that they are quickly able to fit and remove them.

Wearing traditional braces, brackets and wires can be just as embarrassing as living with misaligned teeth.

But Invisalign offers a more satisfactory alternative.

With Invisalign, you wear discreet custom-made aligners that people might not notice you’re wearing.

What’s more, they can be easily removed for eating and brushing.

People can suffer from one or more of several misalignment issues.

Gapped or crowded teeth, an underbite, overbite or crossbite; all can create pain and gum disease, as well as aesthetic concerns.

Methods have of course been in place for many years that address misalignment, but these bring their own problems.

Invisalign straightens teeth using a series of nearly invisible, removable aligners that are custom-made specifically for your teeth.

As you replace each aligner approximately every two weeks, your teeth will move, little by little, week by week.

Gradually they move towards the projected final position.

Invisalign aligners can be taken off to eat, and they are repositioned after brushing your teeth.

You can even remove them altogether for short periods, such as special occasions like a wedding or important meeting.

Because there are no metal or sharp edges, they are also generally more comfortable to wear than traditional braces.

Our competitive prices start from £3,900.
